To take initiatives to plan, design, provide assistance and oversee engineering projects. Should be able to calculate the cost and risk of the project based on the data collected by applying the knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics. Should be able to prepare and modify reports, liaise with clients for terms and other specifications, prepare schedules, have the technical know - how on environmental impact studies that can benefit the project. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Study the drawings, designs, reports, maps, blueprints, aerial photography and geologic data to plan projects using design software and drawing tools •Direct and guide construction operations and other maintenance activities at project site as per construction and government standards •Timely inspection of project sites to determine the progress and ensure that it is in accordance with design specifications •Estimates the quantities and the cost of materials, equipment and/or labor needed to determine project feasibility; •Prepares or presents reports such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right of way descriptions; •Think both creatively and logically to resolve project related issues by providing technical advice regarding design modifications and structural repairs to ensure that a project runs smoothly and it is completed on time and within budget; •Correct any project risk or deficiencies that affect the quality and safety requirements before finalizing, evaluating and providing project reviews. •Performs other related duties as may be required by the immediate supervisor.
