Company : RAND GLOBAL INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS Country : Qatar Description : - Develop and maintain excellent service to internal and external customers at all times. - Maintain performance statistics. - Review and monitor shipment documentation for accuracy. - Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/ imported to and from foreign destinations. - Examine various documents including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products. - Communicate with customs officials as appropriate to obtain release of incoming freight and resolve delays. - Establish, monitor, revise policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations as dictated and allowed by applicable regulations. - Maintain a flexible work schedule including outside normal business hours and after hours on call rotation. - Prepare quotations for the inquiries Received by email or by phone. - negotiate for the best rates with our agents and suppliers to reduce the cost to minimum. - Open a job file right after the job confirmation and send an email instruction to the supplier/ client requesting of the original shipping documents, CI, PL, COO. - Coordinate with our agent to make sure that shipment will catch the CUT-OFF and Sailing date also to prepare and send the B/L. - Shipment update regularly to the client regarding Pick up, ETD, ETA and whilst customs clearance process step by step. - Prepare the documents required for D.O collection along with the shipping documents and hand over to the messenger. - Inform the client if any additional charges may incur.
